Kiron is a non-profit organization based in Berlin, Germany. We have provided free digital learning opportunities to refugees and asylum seekers since 2015.
In our online learning platform, the Kiron Campus, you will find different courses, learning programs, and other related offers such as mentoring and webinars. The courses are self-paced, so you can access them anytime, from anywhere—there are no teachers or fixed classes. There are two ways to learn at Kiron:
- Kiron Campus general access
Anyone who needs it can access Kiron basic courses by registering on the Kiron Campus. For example, our courses How to Learn a Language or Basic Digital Skills. You will notice when a course or program might not be available and you can check the specific requirements accordingly.
- Are you a refugee or asylum seeker?
By uploading your document proving your status, you can get verified and access all Kiron offers, including our program with Coursera for Refugees, mentoring programs, and others. Make sure you upload your international protection documents to your profile. Please always check the eligibility criteria, including your legal status, country of origin, and residence. You will have to upload a document to verify your Kiron account.
Since Kiron is not a university, you don't have any legal status as an official student by being a Kiron student. Thus, studying with us won't affect your asylum application process.
Do you want to stay updated about our programs? Subscribe to our emails and follow us on social media!
Please note that, unfortunately, Kiron cannot:
- Provide you with a university degree in a bachelor's or master's level
- Support you with visa application or process of relocations
- Give you a scholarship or financial support
